I'm Kelly, and I started Plug & Play Jewelry for one reason: I was sick and tired of losing my ear plugs.

I've worked in live music for over a decade, photographing bands, selling their merch, scanning tickets, and living my best life as close to the action as I could get. My colleagues became family, and it killed me to see them suffering from hearing loss and damage, especially knowing simple hearing protection could've prevented their pain.

It's why I created a product that keeps your ear plugs where you need them most: on your ears! Ear plugs can be fiddly, and annoying to use. They either look dorky or try to be invisible, which makes them easy to lose. P&PJ hopes to bring fashion to function, making your hearing protection easier to use and so cute you'll actually want to wear it.

I made our first prototype in my bedroom with jewelry tools I hadn't touched since high school. I knew I found a great solution for myself, and as I wore them to local events, I heard from other people with the same issues I had. It wasn’t just those who work in music-- racing fans, cheer moms, gun enthusiasts, bartenders, and more love having their hearing protection right where they need it. 

I can't go back in time and save my friends' hearing, but I can spread the word about how important it is to prevent damage in the first place. I love live music and events, and I feel so passionate about making sure I and the people I love get to enjoy them without paying for it later!
